Mozilla Service Week
September 14, 2009
NPower is a partner in Mozilla's Service Week. Scheduled for the week of September 14 - 21, this initiative inspires tech companies across the globe to offer their talent and expertise to local organizations who need their assistance. Mozilla created this week not only as a service opportunity, but also as a way to help tech companies form deeper connections with their local communities. Volunteers can help with a variety of tech-related projects, such as teaching senior citizens how to use the web, setting up a wireless network at a school, or training a nonprofit on social media tools. Volunteers are also welcome to donate money or hardware to projects of their choice. Although volunteers are encouraged to help locally, they can share their expertise with non-local organizations via teleconference or webchat. So far, over 2,000 hours of service have been donated.
Join us in using the web to make a profound difference in our communities!
