Stephanie Cuskley
Stephanie Cuskley is the Chief Executive Officer of NPower and the Executive Director of its flagship affiliate, NPower NY. Appointed to succeed Barbara Chang in early 2009, she brings more than twenty years of diverse management, organizational development and leadership experience to her role.
Stephanie began her career as an investment banker, first with Drexel Burnham Lambert in the mid-1980s, and then as an Executive Vice President with Integrated Resources, a large financial services firm, where she advised on its restructuring. She joined JPMorgan Chase (then Chemical Bank) in 1994, where she spent many years in High Yield origination, focusing primarily on media and telecommunications clients.
In 2001, shortly after the bank's acquisition of JP Morgan, Stephanie was chosen to lead a new CEO-sponsored, organization-wide leadership development program, LeadershipMorganChase. Beginning with the firm's top 200 executives, and subsequently expanding outward to all 86,000 of its employees in the U.S. and abroad, this initiative helped JPMorgan Chase create and foster the cooperative leadership culture that has made it one of the largest and most successful companies in the world today. The experience also taught Stephanie the importance of developing and communicating a broad strategic vision to diverse audiences and stakeholders, and persuading each one of its value.
Today, Stephanie serves on the New York Commission on Women's Issues, a role to which Mayor Michael Bloomberg appointed her in 2002, and on the Resource Development Committee for the United Way of New York City. She is also a member of the boards of directors of two public companies, Insituform Technologies and Avantair. She earned her BA from the University of Toronto, and holds an MBA from Cornell University. Stephanie is married and has three children.
