Developer-Foundation Grant Manager

VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTION

NPower is the only nonprofit IT solutions and services network in the U.S. Through 10 affiliates, we help thousands of nonprofit clients build healthier, more vibrant communities by leveraging the power of IT. Earlier this year, NPower embarked on an ambitious new strategy focused on growing its distribution and product capabilities and becoming the "charity of choice" for corporate CIOs. NPower and its affiliates are supported by several leading corporations and foundations, including Microsoft, JPMorgan Chase, Accenture, CA, Cisco, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Ford Foundation and many others.

Position Title: Developer - Foundation Grant Manager

Position Available: August 1, 2009

Duration: 6 months

Qualifications:
• Experience with Salesforce.com data base design and application
• Experience with linking data bases to web portals

The Role:
Create and implement enhancements to NPower's Foundation Grant Manager tool, including
enhancements to the grantee qualification feature and creating a "lite" product that can be
offered to smaller Foundations.

You will work with:
The NPower Product Manager for FGM, and the NPower Director of Business and Product
Development, collecting product feedback from affiliates and others in the distribution network as well as clients in order to design and develop product upgrades

Impact:
We expect that over the next three years, Foundation Grant Manager will be adopted by hundreds of foundations and other grantmaking organizations across the U.S. You will play a key role helping us evolve FGM into a best of class solution - saving substantial dollars, time and effort for foundation leaders and the nonprofits they support.
