Susan Hauser

Vice President for Worldwide Industry and Global Accounts, Microsoft

Susan Hauser, Vice President of Worldwide Financial Services and acting head of Worldwide Industry & Global Accounts, is responsible for driving and managing Microsoft's worldwide industries, including financial services, manufacturing, and distribution and services. She oversees the industry strategies, marketing, solution development, partner development, thought leadership and executive relations, ensuring the full extent of Microsoft's industry visions and value propositions are realized globally. Hauser has been a strategic part of Microsoft's success in financial services for more than a decade and started with the company in 1989. She brings over 20 years of deep customer, vertical technology, sales and management experience to the role and is based in New York.

Prior to assuming this role, Susan held the position of General Manager of Microsoft's Customer Advocacy and Licensing group where she was responsible for promoting, engaging and partnering with customers on intellectual property strategies and investments. Hauser was instrumental in developing Microsoft's first Interop Executive Customer Council, focused on delivering solutions to address important Enterprise Interoperability technical challenges with 45 worldwide CIO's, across commercial and public sectors.

Throughout her career at Microsoft, Susan has held a number of roles including General Manager of New York and New Jersey Districts where she was responsible for managing sales, systems engineering, marketing, and consulting for 400 of Microsoft's largest corporate customers in New York City, Westchester, Fairfield County, New Jersey, Long Island, and Upstate New York. Prior to this she was Regional Sales Director for the entire East Region, with responsibility for maintaining relationships with important financial services customers. During this time, Susan drove a number of break through industry solutions, such as JP Morgan Chase Internet Banking, the BONY Rufus project, State Street Fund Broker Project and PrudentialSecurities.com.

Having transitioned to a financial services territory in 1997, Susan successfully deployed retail branch platforms and messaging across her territory to establish Windows NT as the server and networking standard and Microsoft as a key partner across its top financial services customers.

Susan is a board member of the non-profit organization NPower in New York and has been recognized by Exploring Posts and LISNET for her contributions to the community, youth and woman as a role model. Susan lives in Westchester County with her husband and two sons Henry and Jared.
